 Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sherman Flucas is a highly regarded mentor, coach, and transformational speaker. When connecting with youth, Sherman often leverages the values he learned as a three-sport varsity athlete, such as leadership, discipline, perseverance, commitment, and grit. After nearly fifteen years of empowering youth and strengthening families in Indianapolis, Sherman solidified his service by establishing Legacy Mindset, LLC, a mission-driven movement that emphasizes faith, accountability, and resiliency as the linchpins for sustainable, community development. Sherman’s unique and powerful voice can be explored in his first book, Transformed—a piercing compilation of memoirs whose authors transparently share personal struggles and obstacles overcome through courage and faithfulness. Sherman’s authenticity is a welcomed addition to any community discussion or event rooted in improving the trajectory of children’s lives in Indianapolis.
